Penthesilea – Battle of the Sexes

Trafique

Based on Kleist's drama "Penthesilea", this contemporary theatre piece focuses on gender debates, power structures, and possible utopias and dystopias of a "Battle of the Sexes". The battles of the ancient myth serve as a template – its swords and bows are replaced by the sharp blades of identitarian battles.

Trafique embark on a performative search for dignified, fluid positions despite adverse circumstances.

"Penthesilea - Battle of the Sexes" is a performative outcry against old and new normatives, for the touchable, for doubt and for a new, open humanism.

The performance is in German language.
